The Centre for Research, Education, and Social Services (CRESS Centre) is a non-profit organization registered under Societies Act of Government of Alberta, Canada in 2023 by a group of dedicated experts and community leaders with a vision of making it a centre of excellence by bringing research, education, and social development together to transform the lives of the citizens meaningfully. It has been realized that non-profit organizations have been providing their support to vulnerable people in specific areas. In many cases, their programs/services are top-down. Consequently, programs/services defined following a top-down approach either fail or do not meet the expectation of the beneficiary groups. One of the value systems that CRESS upholds is to follow a bottom-up approach by integrating research while defining and refining its programs/services. Our leaders in the Centre have a huge deal of expertise and experience locally and globally, and they have set examples wherever they worked in the past. Capitalizing on this asset of the leaders, CRESS will work collaboratively with the existing non-profit sector and government bodies and provide its expertise to enhance its programming while working towards becoming a Centre of excellence through its own programming.
To become a center of excellence that brings research, education, and social development together to achieve social and economic prosperity of the citizens.
