Fostering Multiculturalism via Arts and Crafts

The Fostering Multiculturalism via Arts and Crafts project is funded by the Ward Funding Grant Stream of the City of Calgary. The project aims to promote multiculturalism in Calgary by engaging children and youth in multicultural arts and craft sessions.

The CRESS Centre, in collaboration with the Trellis Society and the Nepalese Community Society of Calgary, delivers these sessions by engaging participants and facilitators from diverse ethnic backgrounds to promote multicultural understanding and anti-racism through creative arts-based activities.

While children and youth participate in training sessions, parents also have the opportunity to interact with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. This helps build new friendships, encourages cultural exchange, and increases understanding and respect for different cultures.
