SAGE Initiatives

Funded by the United Way of Calgary and Area, the Seniors’ Activities for Growth and Engagement (SAGE) initiative aims to promote social inclusion of the most vulnerable section of society – seniors – by connecting them to nature and celebrating their successes through storytelling, awards, and cross cultural interactions. The project is very much rooted in the Mohkinstsis project’s goal, that is, empowering local communities by honoring Blackfoot people and their connection to the land.
