The Social Inclusion project, funded by the New Horizon for Seniors Program of the Government of Canada and United Way of Calgary, aims to reduce barriers to social connection and social isolation through engagement activities. These activities include conversation sessions, community gardening, exposure tours, intercultural interactions, etc.
Educational and awareness sessions on elder abuse and fraud, mental health, and healthy aging will also be hosted. A senior resource kit will be prepared, translated into multiple languages, and distributed to the seniors from respective communities.
